Bunbury born Perth Glory defender Josh Risdon has been included in the 23-man Socceroos squad to face Thailand in next month's World Cup qualifier in Bangkok.
The local talent shone in 2015-16 for the Glory and told reporters after his selection that it was a goal of his this season to rejoin the national squad.
“I’m really happy to be heading over to Thailand and hopefully I can get some game time,” he said.
"If I get the chance, it would be great to put in a good performance and make that spot mine."

Risdon has played three games for his country before and admits, the clash against Thailand could be a change.
“Away games are the toughest and you can’t take them lightly,” he said.
“It is an important game for us as the top three or four in our group are quite close.”
The Socceroos will play Thailand at Rajamangala National Stadium, Bangkok on Tuesday, November 15 from 8pm.
