A 46-year-old man has been charged with driving under the influence following a fatal crash in Waterloo which took the life of a young girl.
The man – who has been charged with Dangerous Driving Causing Death and being in Excess of 0.08 percent – was riding a Yamaha off-road motorcycle with a 10-year-old female pillion passenger.
It will be alleged the motorcycle was travelling on Clifton Road about 4.12pm on Sunday, October 23, when the rider failed to negotiate a left-and bend causing him to lose control and crash.
The 10-year-old girl died at the scene and the rider was air lifted to Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.
He is due to appear before the Bunbury Magistrates Court on December 1.
