A number of South West Police officers were recognised for years of outstanding service at a special ceremony in Bunbury on Thursday.
From the South West Traffic office resigned senior constable Shane Clark received a national police service medal a WA police certificate of service and a WA police service medal (25 years) while Senior Constable Kirstie Rowe received a national police service medal.
Collie Police Station had three medal recipients with Senior Constable Greg Taylor receiving a national police service medal and a WA police service medal (25 years), Senior Constable Dion Jackson receiving a national police service medal and a WA police service medal (15 years) and Sergeant Terry Townsend receiving a national police service medal and a WA police service medal (30 years).
Australind Police Station officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Mark Smith was recognised with a national police service medal and a WA police service medal (35 years), Sergeant Chris Clelland received a WA police service medal (25 years) and Senior Constable Neale Horsley received a national service medal and a WA police service medal (25 years).
From Busselton Police Station, officer-in-charge Senior Sergeant Jason Van der Ende received a national police service medal and a WA police service medal (20 years), senior constable Curtis Armstrong received a WA police service medal while Senior Constable Russell Tindall received a WA police cadet medal and a WA police service medal (35 years).
Busselton Detective Senior Constable Paul Matthews received his national police service medal while Detective Sergeant Christopher Page received a national service medal, a WA police service medal (25 years) and the WA police cadet medal.
Harvey Police Station officer-in-charge Laurie Morley received a WA police service medal (40 years) while Senior Constable Michael Donaghy received a national police service medal, a national service medal and a WA police service medal (15 years).
Bunbury Police station senior constable Michael Byrne, Senior Constable Christine Fleay, Senior Constable Raylene Riggs and Senior Constable Simon Barnett all received WA police service medals while Sergeant David Moore and Sergeant Dan Talbot received a WA police service medal (30 years).
Senior Constable Geoffrey Pritchard received the national police service medal, a national service medal and a WA police service medal (15 years) while retired first-class sergeant Ron Patchett received a WA police service medal (40 years).

Five more staff received a special medal in recognition of their role in supporting the police force tasked to guard dignitaries and the public at the G20 summit in Brisbane in 2014.
The ceremony ended with Detective first-class Constable Trisha Lake and South West CICU Senior Constable Steph Smith receiving certificates of outstanding performance.
