The relationship between Bunbury and its sister city Jiaxing was evident when Mayor Gary Brennan hosted a delegation from the Chinese city in the Council Chambers on Friday night.
The group were visiting Bunbury to explore education opportunities including cultural exchange programs between the two cities.
Mr Brennan and Jiaxing Deputy Mayor Chai Yongqiang spoke of the opportunities presented by the Friendship City relationship and the strength of the 16 year long alliance, which began in 2000.
The City presented the delegates with a history book of the Bunbury Surf Lifesaving Club and received a Certificate of Honour from Jiaxing in recognition of Bunbury’s friendship, along with an impressive silk print.
