In an effort to empower women recovering from an abusive relationship Nathan Reed is teaming up with the South West Women’s Refuge to get women back on the road and on the path to independence.
Mr Reed said had been working as a mobile mechanic for the refuge for some time before he was impacted by the work they were doing and decided to become more involved.
“I’ve been moved by the wonderful job the ladies were doing there and really it’s men that have caused this problem and women are left to fix it which I don’t think is right,” he said.
“So I decided I would use what I’m good at to help make a positive difference in their lives.”
Mr Reed is calling for cars that won’t sell for much but are too good to scrap to be donated to him where he will invest the time and money to fix the vehicles which he will donate to the Women’s Refuge.
