South Bound is fast upon us with just two weeks before the three-day camping festival hits Busselton and festival goers line up to get in.
Anyone without a ticket should be thinking about it now.
Verge Collection, the little known and severely underrated band out of Perth have their ticket to South Bound where they will be setting up on stage to blast out a set.
The band’s hit tune My Place has had it’s fair share of air time on Triple J and it’s not hard to see why.
With relatable lyrics and a catchy tune, vocalist and songwriter Ben Arnold’s songs deliver an unexpected social commentary to listeners.
A social commentary that he draws from experiences in his own life and turns into alternative Australiana indie songs.
“One person sent me a picture of their hair falling out and quoted my lyrics so I think it’s representing some of the worries and anxieties we have,” he said.
“Which is unintentional, but there nonetheless.”
This year will mark the band’s first set at the festival and the return of Ben Arnold to South Bound which he said he hasn’t made his way to in four years.
“this is very exciting, it’s going to be a lot of fun returning to play on the stage, I can’t wait.”
