The Moscow Ballet returns to Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Friday, March 31 at 7.30pm to present arguably the most famous Russian tale of all times in Swan Lake.
Brought to life by composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s spectacular score, Swan Lake is a classic two-act fairytale of a tragic romance.
Moscow Ballet principal soloist Anastasia Chumakova said the show was very challenging to perform and was a good example of technical excellence.
“The show is very nice and emotional, it will make the audience happy in parts and they might cry too,” she said.
“In this company you have to believe in yourself and you must open your mind and yourself to new experiences.
“We have worked hard in the studio and the audience can see if we are enjoying it.”
Chumakova said the hardest part of the show was being the white swan, but she hoped to do the iconic role justice. She also said the cast of 50 was very excited to be coming to Australia.
