Police and Bunbury career firefighters were called to a house fire in Dalyellup around 3pm on Saturday.
The Mail understands people were at the property at the time of the fire but escaped the blaze without injury.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said Bunbury’s first and second career firefighters attended the scene along with Bunbury’s volunteer fire and rescue crew.
“Firefighters were called to the scene just before 3pm and contained the first to a bedroom and ensuite at the front of the property,” the spokesperson said.
“There is also fire damage to the roof and extensive smoke damage.”
The Mail understands one person is helping police with their inquiries and the fire is being treated as suspicious.
The cause of the fire is not yet confirmed.
