Katie Noonan is on her way to Bunbury with her new record, Songs of the Latin Skies created in collaboration with classical guitarist Karin Schaupp.

Katie said she’s enjoyed the process of making this, the third album in a trilogy of records done in collaboration with Schaupp including Songs of the Southern Skies which features a cover of the popular Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds song Into My Arms.

“I enjoy unique expression in my work – that’s why I record my stuff live and don’t use multi-track recording, I think my work would feel disjointed and stagnate if I did that,” she said.

Katie said she continues to return to work with Schaupp because of the “taste and flavour” she provides to the music.

“I’m keen to get back to Bunbury, I haven’t been there in a while so It’ll be a nice visit,” she said.

Katie Noonan will be at the Bunbruy Regional Entertainment Centre on Friday, March 24.
