Fire crews were called to a blaze in Picton this evening, with up to 300sqm of scrub alight.
The alarm was raised about 7.20pm.
The fire was near the intersection of Giorgi and Temple roads and is understood to have been sparked by a vehicle blaze.
There was no threat to lives or property, but police were called to investigate the cause of the initial car fire.
The blaze was contained within half an hour, with thick smoke blanketing the surrounding area.
