A number of free programs will soon be available to help improve the lives of local residents living with cancer.
The Cancer Council Life Now Program has been adapted based off research that shows most people benefit from exercise and stress-reduction programs when practiced before, during and after their cancer treatment.
And the program will be available in Bunbury next month.
Free Yoga and Tai Chi classes will be on offer as part of six-week courses, aimed at guiding participants through gentle stretching to help improve fitness, flexibility and overall wellbeing.
Life Now Exercise classes will also be available as part of a 12-week tailored program for people who have been diagnosed within the last two years. These classes are facilitated by an accredited exercise physiologist in a safe and supportive environment.
Funded by community donations, the program has previously helped many cancer patients and survivors through their treatment and recovery.
Life Now Yoga will begin on Tuesday, May 16 at 6pm.
Life Now Tai Chi will begin on Thursday, May 18 at 11am.
Life Now Exercise will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning on June 19 at 11am.
