The Shire of Dardanup are currently working to repair damage caused to a Burekup oval last Friday night.
Late-night hoons targeted the oval and its cricket pitch, leaving deep tyre track damage in each.
The Shire have confirmed fertiliser has been applied to the oval grass and sand has arrived for a fresh top-dressing, which will be carried out shortly.
A meeting has also been organised between Shire staff and members of the Burekup Cricket Club to explore the potential for preventative measures to further protect the playing surface.
Anyone with information about the incident should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
