Camp Quality’s annual outback motoring adventure WesCarpade is set to travel through regional WA again next month.
Between October 15 and 21, a fleet of more than 25 quirky themed vehicles will travel over 2,000 kilometres on a round trip from Armadale to Northam.
The group of dedicated and colourful motorists will travel through the outback, looping back around the Goldfield to the finish line, where the community will gather to celebrate in Northam.
The event has attracted more than 90 entrants stretching from Donnybrook to Geraldton. Each car entered must be at least 20 years old and themed to stick out from the crowd.
Each team dedicates much of the year accruing sponsorship for the adventure, which will directly support kids impacted by cancer and their families.
Last Saturday, a number of the cars visited Gavin Billington and Mike Fagan at Bunbury Holden for a vehicle safety check, to make sure everyone was good to go for the journey.
Camp Quality WA state manager Steve Archibald said the event would not be possible without the support of local businesses.
“The support is truly humbling – it’s this kind of generosity that ensures funds raised go directly to supporting families in WA to not only cope, but thrive,” he said.
