Bunbury TAFE is inviting incoming students to explore everything the campus has to offer.
This year’s Open Day, taking place on Saturday, October 14 from 12pm to 3pm, showcases training opportunities as well as new courses available in 2018.
The facility is providing campus tours, in-person application assistance from the Course Information Team, demonstrations and exhibits.
The event is designed to provide information for new students, people changing careers and people building upon their expertise in the workforce.
South Regional TAFE Training Services Director (Bunbury) Pieter Van Aalen said Open Day provided the opportunity for students to connect with lecturers and other staff.
He advised the event gave students a better understanding of the campus’ courses.
“A list of our courses is available on our website, so anyone attending can view the list and think about the questions they would like to ask before they attend,” he said.
“You should also attend if you don’t know what you want to study in 2018 and would just like to find out more about what’s on offer.”
South Regional TAFE Managing Director Duncan Anderson said TAFE provided necessary skills for today’s working world.
“Training at TAFE can give you a distinct advantage when applying for a job because our courses provide the most relevant industry skills and knowledge,” he said.
“Studying at a local campus can also give students the chance to maintain their support network and stay in close contact with family and friends.”
Full-time applications for TAFE in 2018 are open until Friday, December 8.
