The community of Carey Park are being offered the chance to have their say on how state government funding will be spent to revamp Kelly Park.
Bunbury MLA Don Punch said the McGowan government has committed $90,000 to improvements for Kelly Park.
“I congratulate the City of Bunbury, as the recipient of the funding, for the efforts they are making to engage the community in this project,” he said.
“Kelly Park sits in the very heart of Carey Park and is an excellent example of just how important parks and green open space are to suburban communities.
“During the election campaign, I was told time and again the significance of Kelly Park to the local communuity and need for funding to improve the park as a community asset, so I am really pleased to see this project get underway.”
The City of Bunbury will host a consultation with the Carey Park community in Kelly Park on Thursday from 4pm to 6pm. The public are invited to attend to have their say.
