Three South West hockey stars have been selected for the Kookaburras’ line-up ahead of this month's International Festival of Hockey.
Jake Harvie (Ferguson Valley), Tristan Clemons (Bunbury) and Aran Zalewski (Margaret River) will hit the turf in the IFH tournament from November 5 to 12.
Harvie will make his debut for the Men’s national squad, while Zalewski will co-captain the side.
Australia kicks off its campaign with two matches against New Zealand in Bendigo. The Kookaburras then head to Melbourne to face the Kiwis, Pakistan and Japan.
Harvie made his WA Thundersticks debut in last month’s Australian Hockey League finals in Perth.
Zalewski is stepping up to captain the Australian side after leading the WA Thundersticks in this year’s AHL championships.
Clemons played for the Kookaburras in March’s Darwin International Hockey Open. The Kookaburras clinched the Oceania Cup last month and have begun training for December’s World League Final in India.
