And now history enthusiasts and descendants of Australian Mounted Division and ANZAC Mounted Division soldiers prepare for reenactment of the Battle of Beersheba.
October 31 marks the 100th anniversary for the battle of Beersheba in which the Australian Light Horse Regiment played a significant role in capturing the town for the British Empire.
Queensland Country Life journalist Sally Cripps, a descendant of General Harry Chauvel, is participating in the reenactment. she has shared her experiences, in preparation and abroad.
