A group of dedicated students have spent the past three months working on an artwork designed to brighten the halls of Bunbury Regional Hospital and bring smiles to those who need it most.
The artwork, which will be placed in the Children’s ward, was created by three Dalyellup College students who jumped at the chance to give back to the community.
Dalyellup College art teacher Emma-Lee Broadway said it had been a great project for all involved.
“I think it’s so important to give back to the community and I feel that kids helping other kids is pretty amazing, we would love to take on more projects like this,” she said.
Bunbury Regional Hospital nurse manager Cheryl Jewsbury said the aim was to provide a happy, colourful environment for the children.
“We have several 3D boxes set into the wall with other cat and fish designs and this will add to those to make a perfect viewpoint for the children,” she said.
“We are extremely grateful to Dalyellup College for helping us out with the project.”
