They attended the Clive Davis and Recording Academy Pre-Grammys Gala together, they even sat together, but when the time came for a shout-out, Katie Holmes tried her best not to be seen with her boyfriend of more than five years, Jamie Foxx.
The 39 year-old ex-wife of Tom Cruise, and the 50 year-old former co-star of Tom Cruise, attended mega-producer Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammys Gala and Salute to Industry Icons on Sunday night. Foxx was there, ostensibly, to honour the artist of the hour, Jay Z. Holmes came as his date.
According to People, (who have obtained exclusive photos of the pair), the couple sat at the same table, but Holmes tried to avoid drawing attention to herself by moving to a different seat just moments before Clive Davis was going to give a public salute to Foxx.
Unfortunately, Holmes was busted, drawing even more unwanted attention to herself when Clive Davis announced her move over the microphone, "This lady left the room right when I was going to introduce her, she was sitting at that table right with Jamie Foxx and everyone else."
The former star of Dawson's Creek, who surprised Tom Cruise, and the rest of the world, by abruptly filing for divorce in July 2012, seemed pained by the attention, while Foxx laughed.
. Foxx, who celebrated his 50th birthday last month, has denied rumours that he was seeing Holmes, since the couple were first spotted together in 2013, while Holmes, who has a 12 year old daughter, Suri with Cruise, remained silent on the matter.
But their appearances together of late would seem to suggest a change of heart. Holmes was in attendance at Foxx's 50th birthday party in December, and the couple were photographed walking hand in hand along a beach in Malibu in September.
