Perth didgeridoo and acoustic roots band the MoreDidge Brothers are getting ready to return to the South West.
The didge, drum, dance high energy blues and roots band will head to Bunbury on February 9 to release their debut album Royal Tea at the Prince of Wales Hotel.
Previously known as Moorditj Brothers (solid or good in Noongar) the band recently changed the name to MoreDidge out of respect to Noongar people and a closer reflection of the music they play.
After playing several recent festivals the group has taken the festival-band-spirit and translated it on their 10-track debut album, Royal Tea.
Vocalist and guitarist Aiden Varro said it had been a different process of writing a structure to take into the studio.
“We would originally jam a song out for 7-10 minutes, but obviously we’ve had to change that up for the studio,” he said.
“It hasn’t been processed too much, we like to venture into the different elements of roots, blues and reggae.”
