The Salvation Army Bunbury Corps’ new Corps Officers are working to fit in and make a difference in the community.
Mark and Zoe Schatz moved to the area with their two children, Jacob (12) and Rachel (9), in January.
The pair hope to settle in and connect with Bunbury over the coming months.
“We hope to get to know the community and be visible as a place of hope for people so we can meet whatever needs the community has,” she said.
The couple have already begun preparing for the Salvos’ Red Shield Appeal.
The pair went to Salvation Army church before officially joining the cause in 2008.
They first worked in Narrogin as Corps Officers before training for two years in Melbourne and spending the past six years in Kalgoorlie.
“I fell in love with what the South West stood for and that the Salvos wanted to be in the community, helping people and really making a difference,” Mr Schatz said.
