For indie-pop-rock ensemble Brufield, Bunbury provides a chance to meet fans from the South West.
The band is bringing its acclaimed sound to the Prince of Wales Hotel on Saturday, February 17, joined by special guest I Call Val.
According to Brufield lead singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Caulfield, the gig will showcase the group’s brooding ballads and lively pop anthems.
“It’s just nice to get out of Perth and play somewhere else, and the Prince is always fun,” she said.
“We love the atmosphere and the buzz you get from performing the songs.
“We like seeing people enjoying them, dancing, and singing along if they have already seen us before.”
The band has spent the past few years becoming one of Perth's hardest working ensembles.
Caulfield described the band’s “rock out” music as fun and laidback.
She said their songs made fun of relationships and everything life threw at them.
The band had a blast in 2017, winning the chance to perform at the Byron Bay Blues Festival.
“It was pretty great to be among so many amazing artists and playing at the actual festival was insane,” she said.
The band planned to tour, play live and develop new songs in 2018.
“We plan to continue on and grow as a band, our writing has developed and we get a feel for what the audience wants as a we continue playing,” she said.
