Police have laid historical child abuse charges against a former school teacher from a Perth southern metropolitan primary school.
The 56-year-old man has been accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old boy between July 1997 and September 1998.
He has been charged with three counts of sexual penetration of a child over 13 years and under 16 years, four counts of indecent dealing of a child over 13 years and under 16 years and one count of attempted sexual penetration of a child over 13 years and under 16 years.
The teacher would have been around 35-years-old at the time of the alleged offences.
The victim would now be aged around 34-years-old.
The former teacher is due to appear in the Bunbury Magistrates Court on March 1.
