Burekup Hall is looking as good as new again for the community after receiving a community grant.
The community facility was treated $15,000 worth of upgrades through to Local Project, Local Jobs funding with kitchen and flooring updates completed and more improvements planned.
Member for Collie-Preston Mick Murray recently visited the hall and enjoyed a Friday night roast.
“It’s great to see a community asset like the Burekup Hall being maintained and having life breathed into it,” he said.
“Town halls really are the hub for small communities, with it being a multi-purpose space used as everything from a yoga studio to a pub.”
The community hall now has newly polished floor boards throughout the main hall space and a renovated kitchen.
There are plans for the hall to expand further to include a beer garden area to utilise the space even more.
