Australian indie band and Triple J darlings British India have been announced as the headline act for this year’s SHIFT Festival 2018.
The Melbourne four-piece from will rock Bunbury on April 15 at the Koombana Foreshore.
The City of Bunbury event, which is presented by Drug Aware, takes place during Youth Week.
Alongside British India, Perth four-piece alternative band Wooly Mammoth, will be performing as well as a host of local acts.
There will also be a pop-up skate park, market stalls, food trucks and youth-friendly activities.
The whole community is invited to celebrate Bunbury’s young people at the free event.
Bunbury mayor Gary Brennan said the inclusion of such a high-profile band was a boon for Bunbury and the
Bunbury Geographe region.
“This event will see young people from all over the region head to Bunbury and have a great time getting to know our city,” he said.
“Our young people are an important demographic and the future of Bunbury – this festival is about them and for them.”
The SHIFT 2018 festival will kick off at 1pm to 7pm.
