Music lovers are encouraged to attend a special live gig in the William Barrett and Sons chapel on Saturday night.
The gig is a fundraiser hosted by music promoter Good Nights and will raise funds for the upcoming Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Joe Mungovan is heading back to Western Australia for the first time since 2016.
Mungovan is a talented singer and songwriter known for his attention to articulate lyrics, catchy melodies and rhythmic detail.
Playing in a funeral home will be a unique setting but it is expected to be a special night.
This year William Barrett and Sons celebrates 25 years hosting the event.
On the morning of May 24, the event will again be held with an aim to bring the grand total raised for the Cancer Council of WA to more than $300,000.
“We are holding a few extra events to commemorate the 25 years and try to raise even more funds for such an important cause,” morning tea organiser Taryn Barrett said.
“It’s special that the community support has continued and grown over the past 25 years so that’s worth celebrating.
“This music gig brings people into the funeral chapel for an enjoyable night which is refreshing for us.”
Tickets are $35 and available at alwaysgoodnights.com.au.
BYO drinks and finger food provided. The chapel is at 9 Spencer Street, Bunbury.
