The Stroke Photographic Group is showcasing its members’ most alluring works at Bunbury Regional Art Galleries from April 21 to June 10.
The exhibition will feature glorious creations from photographers John Stachlewski, Laurence Darlington, Warren Cruickshank, Mike Baker, and Michael Rickerby.
Many images on display have been captured and post-processed by the aforementioned photographers.
They explore a range of subjects from “hip hop to Yarloop”.
They describe their selections as: “Historical documents of life in the South West as well as interpretations of moments in time”.
Over the past three years, the photographers developed new techniques while exploring a variety of genres.
In addition, their post-processing techniques helped them to expand their artistic and technical skills.
The group was inspired by 20th century American photographer Ansel Adams.
They thanked Anna Edmundson for developing the idea for the exhibition as well as Nanette Darlington for coming up with the name for the group.
