The Australian Bee Gees are getting ready for their latest trip around Australia.
Performing at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on Friday, April 20, the group has made Bunbury one stop on its country-wide ‘Direct from Vegas’ tour.
The tour hits Bunbury before reaching sites in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland and Victoria.
Michael Clift, who plays Barry Gibb in the production, said the two-part, multi-media concert will deliver all of the group’s most famous tracks.
“We’ve been based in Vegas for the past seven years so it’s always really good to come home and do the Australian tour,” he said.
“It’s always good to come back and catch up with all of these different audiences.”
Clift admired the Bee Gees’ impact on a variety of music-lovers and generations across the globe.
“We love that they were able to reinvent themselves and remain current, but that’s just the half of it,” he said.“
They were great song-writers and had a distinctive sound.
“They were one of those groups that were able to tap into what people wanted.”
The Australian Bee Gees have spent seven years, and have performed over 2250 shows, at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas strip.
Having delivered 6,500 performances in 60 countries over the past 21 years, the group has become a global phenomenon.
