Bunbury is set to get a new burger bar after owners of the popular Market Eating House made an announcement last week.
Moving in to what was once the Bread Pocket outside of Grand Cinemas, owners Brenton and Bec Pyke said they were looking forward to opening Right On Burgers in early to mid May.
“We’ve always seen the need for one in the CBD and on the main street, it’s something that we’ve been waiting for the right place to pop up,” Mrs Pyke said.
“We’re really happy with how the fit out is going, I think it will be something that is really bright and fresh on the street – it’s exciting to be creative in this respect again.
“It’s a different style of business – we’re keeping it pretty simple so it’s going to be good burgers, delicious soft-serve gelato and shakes.”
The duo is partnering with neighbours Lost Bills so that customers will be able to take their burgers across the road and enjoy it within the bar.
Mr Pyke said a burger bar had always been in the pipeline but it was a matter of waiting for the right space.
“Everyone does a burger but nowhere that is a dedicated burger and ice cream place,” he said.
“It will be a similiar philosophy to Marketing Eating House in using quality products – we’ll bring the same service standard in a more casual setting.
“We’ve got a simple menu but we’ll do different specials, the soft gelato will be changing all the time with different flavours and combinations.
“The peanut butter parfait is one of our well-known deserts so imagine it in a soft-serve form.”
