A Bunbury mortgage broker and business owner has been acknowledged for his dedication to his field.
Andrew Bromley, of Mortgage Express, was named a state finalist in the Mortgage and Finance Association of Australia Excellence Awards 2018, picked for the WA Regional Finance Broker category.
This marks Mr Bromley’s first awards ceremony as a nominee.
Mr Bromley said Mortgage Express seeked to connect with customers and provide top-notch expertise in the lending market.
“It feels really good, being a mortgage broker is something you can actually get into really easily,” he said.
“You can get into it easily but becoming really good at your job takes a lot of time because there is a lot to take in.
“You really have to be on top of compliance as part of your whole business.
“I am a sole operator so I do all of my own marketing, compliance, administration, sourcing of new business etc.”
Mr Bromley said he planned to continue doubling his volumes.
“I anticipate within the next year or so I will get to a point where I need to get some help and another broker,” he said.
Mr Bromley worked in construction sales before becoming a mortgage broker in February 2015.
“Once I had got my first loan and helped people settle into a house it was great feeling,” he said.
The mortgage broker said Bunbury has gone through many positive changes.
