The Bunbury Swimming Club has celebrated the inspiring efforts of its athletes.
The Club sent seven swimmers to compete in the Australian Age Championships in Sydney from April 21 to 28.
Jye Jensen finished 21st overall in the 200 metre individual medley, before Sam Morris placed 25th overall in the 400m IM on the final day of competition.
Kyle Lee beat his personal best time in the 16 year-old Boys’ 1500m freestyle by more than 22 seconds.
Courtney Lee moved to 12th in the national rankings after her performance in the 17/18-year-old Girls’ 200m backstroke.
Sam Ellis took three seconds off his personal best time and finished 12th overall in the 12-year-old Boys’ 200m Butterfly on day four.
Maddison Stewart maintained her overall ranking of 44th in the 15-year-old Girls’ 200m breaststroke.
Earlier in the week, Kaiden Richings delivered a blistering time of 17.32.49 in the 14-year-old Boys’ 1500m freestyle.
Max Coulter finished in a time of 2.18.54 in the 15-year-old Boys’ 200m backstroke on day one.
The event featured almost 1800 competitors from 300 clubs around Australia overall.
The Australian Age Championships is the most prestigious swimming event for swimmers aged between 13 and 18.
