For the month of May hundreds of little buns will be coming out of Bunbury Bakers Delight ovens all dressed up in pink.
Now in its 14th year, the annual Pink Bun campaign aims to raise $2 million across WA for the Breast Cancer Network Australia.
Until May 23, the delicious pink buns will be sold with 100 per cent sales donated to support women and men diagnosed with breast cancer.
A sweet way to support BCNA, Bunbury Forum Bakers Delight franchisee Katrina Targett said the campaign was close to her heart after seeing so many women battling with the disease.
“The community are really supportive of it because you find that so many people have had someone or know of someone who has had breast cancer,” she said.
“Now we are seeing that breast cancer is not always a death sentence that it can be survivable and there are a lot of survivors out there.
“The money it goes towards is very worthwhile and you hear so many survival stories and I think that’s amazing.”
