Immerse yourself in the memorable tunes of music industry icons Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder as the Quality Hotel Lighthouse presents the second in its Dinner Show Series on Saturday, May 19.
Respected Perth-based, seven-piece band AViiDA, featuring the husband and wife team of Clay Darius and Paula Parore, will wow the audience with their interpretations of some of the most well-known popular songs ever released in A Night of Respect and Wonder.
The sensational seven-piece band features local percussionist Reilly Stewart, who returns to his hometown of Bunbury for this special event.
Hotel General Manager Christina Mitchell said she was excited to be bringing the show to a Bunbury audience.
“They will perform some of Stevie and Aretha’s most memorable and signature songs, including ‘Natural Woman’, ‘Think’, ‘Respect’, ‘Say a Little Prayer’ and ‘Chain of Fools’ as well as ‘Signed, Sealed, Delivered’, ‘Superstition’, ‘Master Blaster’, ‘For Once in My Life’ and ‘Sir Duke’,” she said.
“The night opens with the relaxed sounds of local instrumentalist Phil Strahan as you begin a scrumptious three-course meal followed by A Night of Respect & Wonder as the dance floor calls you.”
The Quality Hotel Lighthouse and Bunbury Entertainment Agency brought Abbalicious to Bunbury earlier in the year.
Tribute act Sweetwood, featuring the much-loved songs of Fleetwood Mac, will arrive in August.
Bunbury Entertainment Agency Director Dianne Stewart the company enjoyed bringing high-profile artists to the Bunbury Geographe region.
“You may have seen AViiDA perform at the City of Bunbury’s Australia Day Skyfest concert, Channel 9’s ‘The Voice Australia’, and recent musical ‘We Will Rock You’,” she said.
