Maleko Shane Bartrop, 19, faced Bunbury Magistrates Court on April 19 and pleaded guilty to two counts of common assault, one of disorderly behaviour in a police station/lock-up, and one of entering a venue contrary to a barring notice.
Police Prosecutor Sergeant Karl Rep told the court Bartrop hit a crowd controller during an altercation at Fitzgerald’s Irish Bar about 12.50am on March 3.
After being moved away from the scene, he came back and hit another crowd controller.
On March 23, Bartrop mashed a meat pie into a CCTV camera after being placed in a holding cell.
Magistrate Robert Young said Bartrop’s behaviour was bad for himself, his friends at the bar, and the bar’s staff members.
He said the community was sick of seeing this type of behaviour in public places. Bartrop was fined $4600 along with $100 in court costs.
