Major Crash Investigators are calling for information about a major crash in Australind.
According to South West Police, traffic officers travelling on Old Coast Road saw a motorcycle approach them just before 8.30pm on Wednesday, May 16.
Police detected the motorcycle travelling at 90 kilometres per hour in a 60/km zone.
Officers conducted a U-turn and followed the rider. They then stopped their pursuit before continuing in the same direction.
The motorcycle then crashed at the intersection of Old Coast Road and Paris Road.
First aid was provided at the scene, before St John Ambulance personnel took over.
The rider – believed to be a male in his 40s – was taken to Bunbury Hospital with serious injuries.
He was then transferred to Royal Perth Hospital by the RAC Rescue Helicopter.
