Bunbury’s Josh Risdon has officially booked his spot in the Caltex Socceroos’ 2018 World Cup team.
The Western Sydney Wanderers star was picked for the side’s 23-man squad, soon to compete in Russia.
The 25-year-old is one of three Hyundai A-League players set to play for Australia in the tournament.
In May, Risdon was selected for the 32-player preliminary squad under coach Bert Van Marwijk.
During the team’s intense 20-day training session in Turkey last month, the group was whittled down from 27 to 23.
The side recently scored a 4-0 victory over the Czech Republic and a 2-1 win against Hungary in international friendlies.
The Socceroos’ World Cup campaign kicks off on June 16 with a Group C clash against France.
They will then face Denmark on June 21 and Peru on the 28th.
On June 14, the World Cup begins with the Group A showdown between Russia and Saudi Arabia.
