The Shire of Dardanup is encouraging the community to grab their blankets, pillows, bean-bags and snuggle in with some popcorn and a hot chocolate at their indoor winter cinema throughout June and July.
Community services manager Lee Holben said three movies would be shown as part of the winter indoor cinema trial, with two at the Eaton Recreation Centre and one in Dardanup.
“The Indoor Winter Cinema came about after our trial run of our movies by moonlight, which we did during Summer, they were so successful and we had such positive feedback and community was asking for it to continue,” she said.
“We thought lets give it a try during Winter when people want to see movies, catch up with family and friends but also for us to provide affordable and accessible activities for our community.
“Sometime people can’t always afford to go out and we thought this is something that can be enjoyed by a variety of demographics within our community.
The six metre cinema screen will be set up inside with warm snacks, hot drinks, popcorn and all your other cinema snack bar favourites available for purchase.
The indoor Winter Cinema Series will kick off this Friday night from 7.30pm showing Three Summers.
Entry is free.
