A woman who was found to be well over the legal blood alcohol limit last month has faced court over a drink driving charge.
Police Prosecutor Sergeant Karl Rep told Bunbury Magistrates Court that Chloe Ann Maunder was seen travelling in a Mitsubishi at 9.20pm on May 26.
Ms Maunder hit a kerb which prompted police to stop her on Paris Road.
After she was taken to Bunbury Police Station, Ms Maunder’s blood alcohol reading was 0.289 grams of alcohol and she was handed a disqualification notice.
In court, Ms Maunder said she hit the kerb while reaching down to her handbag on the floor of the car.
Noting the “extraordinarily high” reading, magistrate Evan Shackleton proclaimed Ms Maunder could have caused a potentially life-threatening situation.
The case was remanded to July 16 for sentencing.
