Community, police, and government representatives will come together to acknowledge a piece of Brunswick’s history.
A plaque paying tribute to all officers appointed to serve in Brunswick has been placed on the Brunswick Lions Club Heritage and Community wall.
On June 23, the South West Retired Police Officers group will host an official dedication to the plaque.
The event will be attended by Assistant Police Commissioner Murray Smalpage, South West District Superintendent Mick Sutherland, and Federal Member for Forrest Nola Marino.
Morning tea will then be provided at Brunswick Bowling Club.
Former South West officer Roy Scott said the event would recognise all police personnel in country areas.
He said police in regional areas enjoyed interacting with their communities.
The Brunswick Police Station was opened in 1950 and was closed in 1996.
