The South West Youth Driver Development Program received two iPads from the Bunbury Branch of the Bendigo Bank.
Bendigo Bank branch manager Kelly Stone visited the South West Highway facility last week to hand over the iPads for use in the RYDE Supervised Driving Program, due to commence in Bunbury soon and Busselton later on.
Youth Driver Development Program chairman Murray Cook praised the company for their enthusiastic support of the program.
He said the program would not be possible without support of this nature.
The program is run out of Bunbury, with the aim to cut the number of young people who are injured or die on our roads as a result of poor driving habits.
RYDE has helped young citizens to complete the 50 hours of driving experience required for a driver’s licence.
The program connects learner drivers with volunteer mentors and vehicles, so that the students can get their licence.
The program’s official launch will be run out of the Bunbury City Library in Parkfield Street.
Community members will be allowed to come to the launch.
The South West Youth Driver Development program was first formed in 1998.
