A Harvey man has been left angry and bemused after vandals trashed his residence midway through its renovation.
Vandals entered Rocco Fedele’s soon-to-be-completed residence on June 4 and caused around $10,000 in damages.
The culprits wrote messages such as ‘We stole your beer’ and ‘Love you’ on the floor in white paint, before covering the fridge and walls with the same paint.
They also punched holes into some of the walls and smashed down the front door.
The vandals later posted footage of the damages on Snapchat.
The incident forced the completion of the renovations to be delayed by more than one month.
Mr Fedele said an insurance loop hole meant the damages were not able to be covered.
“These people need to be brought to justice,” he said.
“I want people to understand the full story and how I feel about it because I am very disappointed.”
Posting on the Harvey Noticeboard Facebook page, Mr Fedele offered a reward of $100 per person to anyone with information about the incident.
The police investigation is still underway.
Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
