One Bunbury woman will be participating in this years Black Dog Charity ride after being selected through the Grow4Good program.
Landmark Bunbury is one of 24 Landmark rural supply stores around the country involved in the Grow4Good program that supports local community causes.
The program, a Bayer initiative supported by Landmark is donating thousands to community causes to help change rural lives for the better.
Landmark Bunbury was successful with their submission and will aim to raise up to $2,500 towards branch employee Claire Green’s charity ride from Busselton to Darwin for the Black Dog charity.
Landmark Bunbury’s Rod Francis said depression and suicide strongly impacted rural communities.
“After hearing that in the last 18 months over half a dozen people within our area had taken their lives or attempted to, branch employee Claire Green felt something more needed to be done,” he said.
“So, over 12 days and 5,500km, she’ll be riding her motorbike on the Black Dog Ride from Busselton to Darwin.
Bayer manager Ben Thompson said they were grateful for the support of the Grow4Good program.
‘Whether it’s to purchase a life-saving defibrillator, help with cancer treatment or for a new school playground, Bayer is extremely proud to be supporting farming communities that give us all so much,” he said.
Bayer is supporting Landmark Bunbury and the Black Dog charity by donating $20 for every 10L pack of Serenade Prime sold.
