Boyanup's women's side has capped off a spectacular South West Hockey League season with a convincing grand final victory.
Going into the finals, the side had secured 19 wins and two losses from 21 rounds.
Boyanup defeated Robins 3-2 their semi-final, before claiming a 3-1 win in Saturday’s rematch.
Robins’ player Amber Vivian picked up best on ground for her performance in the grand final.
Allyce Sewell (Boyanup) received the Women’s Fairest and Best Award, while Robins’ star Dee Garstone was honoured for becoming the league’s highest goalscorer.
Marist’s men’s side began its finals campaign with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Associates.
The side then progressed to Saturday’s decider following a 3-2 win over Boyanup in their preliminary final.
Facing Wests in the grand final, Marist did enough to nab a solid 2-1 win along with the premiership crown.
Brett Cartledge (Marist) scored best on ground for his efforts, after teammate Keegan Schoultz was named Men’s Fairest and Best.
Marist players Alby Lawrence and Daniel Sampey topped the league’s highest goalscorers’ list.
Following a narrow loss to YMCC, the South West Strikers faced an in-form Southern River in the Promotion One preliminary final.
Southern River outmatched the Strikers and went on to claim a decisive 6-0 win.
