The Dalyellup community won’t have to wait much longer for their very own watering hole if all goes to plan.
The Prince of Wales Hotel team - the Thorn family, announced last week they are in the process of obtaining a liquor license for the Dalyellup Alehouse on Portobello Road, following development approval.
Duty manager Jacqui Thorn said they were excited to finally let the public know after more than a year of planning and were conducting a survey to find out what the community wanted from the new venue.
“We saw a need for a pub in that area,” she said.

“It’s already gotten a lot of interest, which is amazing and we’re just trying to get feedback from the community about what they’re looking for as well.
“For one it will be closer to home, somewhere to take their families or just go out for lunch without having to travel too far, somewhere for people to hang out and be entertained.”
Ms Thorn said they hoped to open the alehouse within 18 months, which will be open, light and modern.
The new alehouse will include a kids playground, beer garden, restaurant, TAB facilities with an English-style menu and a small van to transport people between the Dalyellup venue and the Prince of Wales Hotel.
