The South Regional TAFE Bunbury Campus is preparing for its annual open day on Saturday, October 13 to give school leavers, career changers and anyone looking to gain new skills the chance to find out more.
Lecturers and staff will be on hand to speak to students about courses available in 2019 and also short courses they can get started in straight away this year, provide tours of TAFE facilities, and help with applications.
South Regional TAFE managing director Duncan Anderson said the open day was always a popular event as it gave potential students an insight into the advantages of TAFE training.
“The feedback we get from our students indicates they are very happy with their training,” he said.
“Students applying for a course can have confidence in their training, knowing that our courses are developed with job outcomes in mind and taught by highly skilled lecturers.
“We develop our courses in close consultation with the industry so they provide the most relevant, up-to-date skills and knowledge.
“Our Bunbury Campus offers a variety of courses so students can study close to home and have a chance to maintain their family and support networks.”
The Open Day will include course advice, a booth for people to match their personality to a dream career, application assistance, campus tours, demonstrations and exhibits of students work.
