Two men involved in a road rage attack in Leschenault fronted up to Bunbury Magistrates Court earlier this week.
Samuel Josef King, 21, and Kale John Callegari, 20, were allegedly driving down Forrest Highway, near Old Coast Road, at 5.38pm on Sunday, September 30.
Mobile phone footage uploaded online allegedly depicted Mr King driving while committing varying traffic offences.
The footage also allegedly showed Mr Callegari leaning out of the passenger’s side window and hitting the driver’s side window of a Toyota Corolla with a baseball bat.
Both cars were travelling down Forrest Highway at the time.
Police later seized Mr King’s red Holden Utility and charged him with being armed in a way to cause fear, criminal damage, reckless driving, and using a mobile phone behind the wheel.
Samuel Josef King, 21, will return to Bunbury Magistrates Court on November 1, prior to Kale John Callegari, 20, on November 8.
Mr Callegari was charged with being armed in a way to cause fear, criminal damage, failing to wear a seatbelt, and having his body and/or limbs protruding from the car.
The pair faced Magistrate Evan Shackleton in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 11.
Represented by lawyer Paul Chapman, Mr King’s case was remanded for legal advice.
Mr King is due to face court again on November 1.
Mr Callegari initially opted to plead guilty to all four of his charges.
Mr Shackleton and police prosecutor Sergeant Robert Fay urged Mr Callegari to seek legal advice.
They informed Mr Callegari the four charges were extremely serious, and that an early guilty plea might result in prison time.
After Mr Callegari sought legal advice from lawyer Jen de Clerk, Mr Shackleton remanded the matter to November 8.
Mr Callegari and family members refused to answer questions outside of court.
