A handful of Bunbury Squash Club players are in training ahead of the 2018 Busselton Sebel Open.
Held from November 2 to 4, the event will see around 50 players from the South West and Perth heading to the Busselton Squash Club, at Sebel Resort.
Bunbury Squash Club will be sending five players, including Brad Grinter, to this weekend’s event.
“Bunbury Squash Club likes to support them and keep the game alive,” Grinter said.
“We like to meet new people. Instead of playing the same people week in, week out in Bunbury, we get to play some Busselton people as well as some players from Perth.
“Socially, it’s good to catch up with a few people that we only see once each year.”
In September, Grinter and fellow Bunbury player Jamie Herring teamed up with Leschenault Squash Club’s Caillin Blackwood and Dean Reynolds to take out the 2018 Country Week Men’s A-Grade title.
Grinter said he and Bunbury Squash Club were proud of their results this year.
