Having described the music clip for new single Want That as being “like a Taylor Swift video, but with more beer”, Good Doogs is a fun band with a laid-back vibe and strong sense of humour.
The surf-rock group is anticipating its show at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Bunbury on Friday, November 23.
“We’re really excited to get back down there because we haven’t played there for a few months,” drummer Michael Grainger said.
“It’ll be good to play to people who haven’t seen us yet, we like meeting new people.
“Nothing will ever compare to having people you’ve never met before shouting back lyrics you’ve written.”
The Bunbury gig will be part of the band’s fourth and final national tour for 2018.
During their Want That tour, they will perform headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Scarborough, and Byron Bay.
The trio will also hit Shakafest, Festival of the Sun, and Hyperfest.
The group finished its last tour with a show at Bigsound 2018 in Brisbane back in September.
“We don’t look at ourselves as a big band or anything like that,” Grainger said.
“We’re still just the guys from Mandurah that like to have fun, meet people, party with everyone, and have a beer with everyone.”
Good Doogs first hit the scene in April 2017.
After the band’s breakout single, Nothing To Do, was praised by Triple J, the group was invited to play at this year’s Groovin’ the Moo in Bunbury.
Their first east coast tour saw them sign with Adam Montgomery/Four Tone Artists and collect a sponsorship deal with surf brand Rusty.
They clocked up 50,000 views after premiering the video for single So Dumb on Triple J Unearthed.
