A horror crash along South Western Highway on Thursday afternoon has claimed the life of one person, with three more people left in a critical condition after a truck and car collided.
About 4.15pm, a silver sedan was reduced to carnage when it collided with a truck near Hall Road.
A female was declared deceased at the scene.
Several other people were trapped in the wreckage.
One male was transported from the scene by RAC Rescue to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment on serious injuries.
Two other males were conveyed by road to hospital by ambulance.
Three Department of Fire and Emergency Services crews were at the scene to help free the trapped occupants and clear the road.
Two RAC rescue helicopters were at the scene, however, only one was used to transter a paitient.
Police installed blockades along South Western Highway in both directions for several hours.
WA Police Major Crash officers are at the scene investigating circumstances surrounding the crash.
