It was a nail biting defeat for the Dunsborough Oilers women’s team when they took on Aces Sky in round five of the Bunbury Basketball Association.
Dunsborough were in front at each break but Aces Sky kept clawing back to snatch a 72-71 victory.
Dana East was Dunsborough’s highest scorer with 28 points while Lauren Vincent scored 20 for Aces Sky. It was a different story for the other women’s match with Tornadoes Black celebrating a 30 point victory over Tornadoes Red.
Tornadoes Black were able to keep their opponents scoreless for the first ten minutes of the match which allowed them power through for a convincing win.
In the mens, the Bulls reign supreme with a 65 point win over the Eaton Eagles.
Luke Deighton starred for Aces Sky with 23 points against Tornadoes Red. Aces Sky enjoyed a 13 point win and now sit in fourth spot on the ladder.
Aces White forfeited their match against Tornadoes Black who received an automatic 20-0 win.
The undefeated Bulls will have a bye next week.
